There are many, many other theories that are around on this subject, including supplements such as caffeine, carnitine, and green tea.

I haven't tried all of them, however the only one I have taken as a tablet is carnitine - this is because it is really cheap. The other two, caffeine and green tea, I like to drink. Both are full of antioxidants and speed up your metabolism.
