I call it the weight loss mindset. I think you need to think about your goals a lot. This really helps with making the right choices. And choices are what it is all about.

Setting goals is important.. |
Don't worry, you can take time off for good behaviour. Being good
all the time is really hard to do. Work on a day by day basis. Try to
make good choices, but don't beat yourself up if you eat a big ice
cream or have a bag of fish and chips. It is important that you do have
these things sometimes.
My weakness is curry. I have learnt to cook
healthy curries, but sometimes there is nothing like a good old gut
busting big fatty curry, washed down by a few pints.
Go for it, just
not every day. Make sure that 80 percent of your time is spent doing
things that help you reach your goals and then be naughty in the other
20% if you feel the need.

If you want to be the best..
|
 |
Set some weight loss and diet goals now. It will feel great when you smash them.
Write your goals down and think about them a lot.
It feels great to reach your targets.
Make you targets realistic and you will hit them.
For me goal number one was to view being fit as something I want for
the rest of my life. This is a long term goal and to achieve it I just
need to keep up the exercise and stay active. A long term goal is good
because it helps keep you focused on the big picture and allows you not
to worry if you fall off the wagon, so to speak, for small periods of
time.
Coupled with this are various short term goals, such as achieving a body fat level of... and reaching a weight of... For me initially it was getting my body fat to under 20% and my wieght to 12 stone. I knew I had further to go, but these were good things to work at. Once I hit them it felt great and made me want to set and hit new targets.
Take note.....
